In 2020, Dutch private equity parties raised EUR 5.2 billion in new capital from (institutional) investors and in the same year private equity parties invested EUR 6.7 billion in 179 Dutch companies. In 2019, another EUR 6.3 billion was invested in Dutch companies. Private investment by funds in Dutch companies have proved to continue to grow despite various crises.

Legal advice on private equity
Lawyer and partner Tom de Waard gained extensive experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions at the Dutch law firm Stibbe, and later at the international law firm Clifford Chance. Tom has also supervised several listed companies as chairman of the supervisory board.
