mCube acquires Xsens from ON Semiconductor, a supplier of semiconductor-based solutions of energy efficient power and signal management to reduce global energy use. mCube is a developer of the MEMS motion sensors, key enablers for the new Internet of Moving Things (IoMT). Xsens is the developer of 3D motion tracking technology and products. With this acquisition, mCube expects to be able to create new markets for motion sensing and tracking solutions in the burgeoning IoMT with combined geographical coverage in North America, Europe and Asia.
